Driver registration will be from
12:00 noon until 6:00 PM on the day of the show. All
cars will be inspected following registration. Drivers are
admitted with the car, all others must purchase a pit pass
(NO EXCEPTIONS)
MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 6:30 PM AT THE
REGISTRATION AREA.

- Drivers must be at least 18 years of age. Drivers 16
& 17 years old may drive if a release is signed by
parent or legal guardian. (Valid drivers license
required) Signature must be witnessed by event official.
- American cars or station wagons allowed. No imperials,
checker cabs, jeeps, trucks, carryalls, convertibles,
etc.
- Same car may only enter 1 preliminary heat.
- A car must participate in a heat race before it is
eligible for a consolation or feature.
- All drivers must sign a liability release form prior
to the event.
- If a driver qualifies for the feature he/she cannot
drive in the consolation race.
- Drivers will draw for heats and position

- Race procedures will be explained at drivers meeting
prior to the event
- No deliberate hitting opponents drivers door.
(Automatic Disqualification)
- Drivers side door must be reinforced with grader blade
or similar heavy reinforcement.
- Driver must remain in the car until it is removed from
the track area, unless the car catches fire, then exit
immediately.
- Once car is out of race you must remain stationary
until the race is over, stay in car.
- Fires: Any fire will result in disqualification. One
carburetor type flare-up or backfire will be allowed; a
second time results in disqualification. Any car
disqualified for fire is out for heat.
- Heats: The derby will be composed of 4 individual
heats, 1 or 2 consolation heats, and a feature. The
feature will be made up of the top 3 cars from each heat
and 2 cars from the consolation(s).
- Consolation heat(s): Preceding the feature, any cars
still able to run will be eligible for the consolation.
There will be 1 or 2 consolation heats depending on the
number of cars eligible. If 1 heat then the top 2 cars
will advance to the feature, if 2 heats the top car from
each heat will advance.

disqualified. No playing possum.
- Driver must remain in the car until it is removed from
the track area, unless the car catches fire, then exit

second time results in disqualification. Any car

PREPARATION OF CARS |
|
- Slogans & advertising may be placed anywhere on
the car except front doors & roof.
- Radiators & fans may not be relocated
Transmission coolers may be relocated if covered and
appropriate high-pressure lines are used.
- Batteries may be relocated in a secure position with a
protective cover.
- Bumpers & fenders may be trimmed.
- ALL glass must be removed prior to reaching the
fairgrounds.
- Gas tanks must be outboard marine gas tanks or like
quality; Absolutely no 5 gal buckets or cans. Max 3 gal
of gas in tank. Tank must be replaced to back seat area
& secured with protective cover.
- No special bumpers, extra weights, trailer hitches,
roll bars, special lifts, blocks, shackles, or special
reinforcement except as specified. NO OUTLAW CARS
- Trunks must be empty of all debris, spare parts,
tools, etc.
- A strap or chain must be placed across center of
windshield to prevent hood from being pushed into
driver.
- All doors & wagon gates must be strapped, wired or
welded shut, drivers door reinforcement recommended.
- Safety belts & helmets required.
- If there is a gas leak, the car is disqualified.
- Reckless driving or conduct while entering or leaving
the track will result in immediate disqualification.
- Effective 2004: All cars with electric fuel
pumps must use steel lines in car. No rubber hoses and
must shutoff with key.

| REMOVAL OF CARS |
|
ALL CARS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE
GROUNDS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE EVENT.
Any car left overnight will be pushed or towed to an out of
the way area. Do not leave any spare tires, batteries, or
parts behind. If you need assistance loading your car on a
trailer inform an official in advance please, loaders will
be available that night only. |

| GENERAL CONDUCT |
|
- Absolutely no alcohol Allowed in the pits.
- All decisions made by officials are final
- Arguing with officials will not be tolerated
&will result in removal from the grounds
- Absolutely no fighting. Anyone seen fighting will
be removed from the grounds and or arrested
