The Warren County Prime Beef Festival will again feature an opening parade down Broadway on Wednesday, September5, 2007 in Monmouth Illinois.  This annual event features well over an hour of free entertainment provided by a variety of floats, bands, clowns, dancers, automobiles and horses of all sorts.

The parade will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m.  The lineup for the parade will be at the West Park located on West Broadway. We ask that all bands please unload on West Broadway in front of West Park. We also ask you to be there no later than 4:00 p.m so not to interfere with the starting of the Prime Beef Run event at that time.

All entries in the parade are asked to place their assigned Parade Entry Number on the right side of their entry. This is for the benefit of the judges. If you don't see your entry listed please call the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce at (309) 734-3181 for instructions

Of course, we feel strongly that the marching bands and their music is the key to our success.  There will be a $100 participation award for each band coming, which can be used in any fashion with their music program. Judging will be based on school size and there will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd & "Best of Show" trophy's awarded.

Come early and make a day of it by shopping the downtown "Maple City" merchants around the Monmouth Square, then tour some of our historical attractions wait for the Parade to begin.  After the parade come out to our Festival grounds to enjoy our four days of fun.  Contact the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, (309) 734-3181, for the full list of "other" things to do while you are here. You will be surprised just how much entertainment we can "feed" you!

Awards will be presented at the Warren County Prime Beef Festival Stage at Monmouth Park located just off Route 34 and North 11th Street across the street from the Monmouth Airport. Presentations will be held on the Festival Stage around 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.
